2009 F.A.M.E. Awards Finalists, Host Announced
Stormy Daniels to MC show June 13 at Erotica LA;
Final Voting Underway

LOS ANGELES — The opening round is done and the finals are set with what should be epic showdowns in a variety of categories as fans of adult can vote on their favorites in the 2009 F.A.M.E. Awards (thefameawards.com). Fans can log onto the F.A.M.E. (Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment) now through June 12 and vote for their choices in 15 categories.Response for this year's event is already surpassing last year's totals, organizers said.

Some of the biggest names in adult are included in the final round, and while some have been there before, there are some newer names that have received enough votes to make it to the final round. Fans also chose the final “Wild Card” category of “Favorite Star Website” and a committee of industry professionals selected the eight finalists in that category. Wicked Pictures contract star Stormy Daniels, who won the 2008 F.A.M.E. award for Favorite Director, has been signed to host the 2009 F.A.M.E. Show on Saturday, June 13 at Erotica L.A. Stormy and adult’s biggest stars will be appearing on the main stage at the Los Angeles Convention Center as part of Erotica LA.

“I am truly honored to host the F.A.M.E. Awards this year. F.A.M.E. means a lot to the adult industry because it puts the power into the hands of the fans,” said Daniels, who also has back-to-back F.A.M.E. awards for Favorite Breasts (2006 and 2007). “Keep your eyes peeled for some very special guests and some Wicked surprises.”

Daniels in recent months has enjoyed numerous mainstream entertainment opportunities such as appearing in the hit movie, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, and on TV shows such as “Dirt.” She also landed roles in music videos with bands such as Maroon 5, and most recently, she has garned national attention for her possible senatorial run in her home state of Louisiana.

Awards spokesman and Genesis magazine's editor-in-chief. “Stormy follows a long list of adult superstar hosts including Jesse Jane, Tera Patrick and Carmen Luvana. With Stormy, we know we can expect an incredible show and a very memorable experience.”

The F.A.M.E. Awards were created in 2006 by industry leaders Genesis magazine (genesisonline.com), Adam & Eve (adameve.com), WantedList.com and AVN.com as a way for fans to honor their favorite adult film stars, directors, movies and companies. It is the first show where the fans take part in the entire process — from choosing the finalists to ultimately selecting the winners in over a dozen categories.
