2009 F.A.M.E. Awards Voting Begins

LOS ANGELES — The online polls are open for the fourth annual F.A.M.E. (Fans of Adult Media and Entertainment) Awards. Fans can log on to TheFameAwards.com to vote for their favorite stars, with the winners to be announced June 13 at the Los Angeles Convention Center during the Erotica LA expo.

"Our hope is that the F.A.M.E. Awards are to fans what the AVN Awards are to critics," said Paul Fishbein, President of AVN Media Network, and co-sponsor of F.AM.E. "Here, the fans recognize the stars and companies for their achievements in different categories. It’s an incredible way for the end user to have say… and to make history. This awards show has truly become an event that we feel all of the studios and stars of our industry look forward to year after year and we look forward to co-producing it for them."

The final round of voting is slated to begin April 21. Well over 100,000 votes were cast for last year's contest, and this year's edition should surpass those numbers.

"This show has really been embraced by both the fans and the entire adult industry," said F.A.M.E. spokesman Dan Davis, Editor-in-Chief of Genesis magazine. "The entire event, from voting to the awards show itself, has grown each year and we expect this year to continue that trend. We are extremely grateful to all of the fans, stars and companies who have supported us presenting this event, and we can't wait to see the response this year."
